Singulair is a prescription medication available in oral tablet form with strengths of 4mg, 5mg, and 10mg, containing the active ingredient Montelukast. It is designed for the long-term management of asthma and allergy symptoms, as well as the prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. Singulair is not intended for the rapid relief of sudden asthma attacks and should not be used as a substitute for quick-relief inhalers. In various countries, it is also marketed under the brand names Odimont, Montemac, Montek, and Montair.
